CSPapers is a quick & dirty Firefox extension which tries to name the
CiteSeer papers automatically
according to a specified format string. It was developed because
I was tired renaming the papers either in the save dialog or
later on disk.
No super secret information extraction algorithms :-) just simple tag
selecting...
If the web page URL contains "citeseer" the Firefox context menu is
expanded with a "Save CiteSeer Paper" entry. Beyond this you will
find three filename suggestions. The first one will use only the last part
of the names, the second the first part and the third the full names:
Of course you can change the filename format through the extension settings
(inside the Firefox extensions dialog):
In every case the full "authors" string is taken if it is shorter
than the "authors et.al." string. Setting the value to "0"
disables the "et.al." functionality.
